Italian giants Juventus maintained their unbeaten start to the Serie A season on Friday night.
Mauro Mandzukic scored the only goal to send the defending champions 11 points clearof the top of the table as they beat Inter Milan in Turin.The win put Juve on43 points out of a possible 45 at the top.
The Croatian 66th-minute header broke the deadlock which makes his tally to 7 league goals of the campaign. The victory means Juventus remain unbeaten in opening 15 league games; winning 14 out of them with one draw.
The visitors failed to covert early chance to lead the game as Roberto Gagliardini shot which struck a post in the first half. Inter paid the inevitable price midway through the second-half when Joao Cancelo put in a cross to the far post and Mandzukic in front of Kwadwo Asamoah heads in.
Inter Milan head coach talking at the post-match interview about the loss “Taking the lead would have made a difference but we made too many basic errors,” said Inter coach Luciano Spalletti.” Juve are cunning and we are naive….. they have a way of wasting five minutes after a foul.
