You can see how being unprincipled is a crime against self and the nation

Lai Mohammed of APC in 2015 described the ‘shoot at sight’ order by the notorious police chief Mbu as: ‘an attempt at mass murder and nihilism’

Mbu’s order to his men was even ‘self defence’ because he specifically instructed police to shoot at sight if they were attacked by armed election thugs.

We reasonable and principled people strictly condemned Mbu’s order because it was (and still) a dangerous way to anarchy, dictatorship and intimidation of voters who are not ballot snatchers because no voter would wait to cast his/her vote with the booming of guns and corpses decorating the polling units.

Was Lai a ballot box snatcher? Or were we in support of election malpractice in 2015? No. But because we knew that it was antithetical to democracy and rule of law.
So, what has changed now? Sycophancy or slavish loyalty?

Funny enough, most of those who condemned Mbu then (especially many APC league of activists) are now in support of Buhari’s shoot at sight order while the doggy doggy Jonathanians that supported Mbu were now against the order.

You can see how being unprincipled is a crime against self and the nation. No nation thrives in democracy and good governance when her active population is selectively blind to constitutional infringement, rule of law and bad governance.

Shame to all these tuale unprincipled Cross Over Activists. Some of us will continue to defend the ethos of democracy and good governance no matter who is in power. This is the least we can do for our nation having been victims of dictatorship for decades.
